Every review includes genuine drawbacks, because an all-positive review is not a useful one. Verdicts are written in plain English.

Our reviews are written by Car4Less for buyers, drawing on published road tests, manufacturer information and real-world South African use, and rewritten in our own words. We sell every new car below the manufacturer's retail price rather than favouring one brand, so we have no reason to flatter a particular model. We point out weaknesses as readily as strengths.
Should I buy a brand-new model in its first year?

First-year models bring the latest technology and design, and manufacturers usually launch with keen pricing. The risks are early-production niggles and an unknown resale record. Buying through the franchise dealer network with the full warranty protects you either way. If you prefer proven reliability, a model in its second or third year with a facelift can be the sweet spot.
What is the difference between a facelift and a new generation?

A facelift refreshes an existing car with revised styling, updated technology and sometimes new engines, but keeps the underlying platform and body. A new generation is a ground-up redesign with a new platform, body and often new dimensions. Facelifts are usually modest price steps; new generations can bring bigger changes in space, safety and cost.
