What is Car4Less?+
Car4Less is a patented South African model that lets you buy any new car below the manufacturer's retail price, with up to R3 000 a month back through the Post & Share Payment Saver Plan and a separate Shop & Save rewards programme at major retailers.
Is Car4Less a dealership?+
No. Car4Less is an independent buying channel. Your car is supplied and delivered through the national franchise dealer network — fully registered, with the manufacturer's full warranty and service plans — but you buy it for less through Car4Less.
Who is behind Car4Less?+
Car4Less was founded by Edward Thwaits, a motor industry veteran who owned and operated multiple new-car franchise businesses across South Africa. The model is protected by a government-gazetted provisional patent.
Which cars are available?+
Every new passenger vehicle officially sold in South Africa — over 1 318 cars across 332 models across 59 brands, from entry-level hatchbacks to bakkies, SUVs and luxury cars, each with full specifications and variant pricing.
Pricing & the Car4Less saving
How does the Car4Less price work?+
Every car is offered below its published retail price. You see both the manufacturer's retail price and the lower Car4Less nett price side by side on every model and variant, so the saving is transparent.
Is the Car4Less price negotiable?+
It doesn't need to be — the Car4Less price is already applied to every car, every variant, upfront. No haggling required.
How current is the pricing on the site?+
Prices are estimates based on the latest available retail pricing and are not binding. Your consultant confirms the exact, current price before you order.
What does POA mean?+
Price on application — for a small number of vehicles the manufacturer doesn't publish a standard retail price. Enquire on WhatsApp and a consultant will confirm current pricing for you.
Post & Share — the Payment Saver Plan
What is the Payment Saver Plan?+
It's the Car4Less Post & Share rewards programme: by posting and sharing approved Car4Less content, a qualifying new-car buyer whose participation leads to a verified vehicle sale receives guaranteed cashback of up to R3 000 — lowering the effective instalment on their car.
Is the cashback guaranteed?+
Yes — for buyers who fully meet the participation requirements. Qualifying rewards are guaranteed through a contingency-based performance guarantee framework between Car4Less and selected major South African underwriting institutions.
Am I buying an insurance policy?+
No. You pay no premium and hold no policy. The guarantee framework exists between Car4Less and its underwriting institutions — it is not an insurance product, benefit or contract for the buyer.
Does it change my car finance?+
No. You keep your normal bank finance and pay your standard monthly debit order. The Payment Saver Plan operates independently and simply returns value on top.
What do I actually have to do?+
Create, publish and share approved Car4Less content through authorised social platforms and channels, at the prescribed quantity and frequency. When your participation verifiably leads to a new-vehicle sale, you qualify for the cashback.
Shop & Save — loyalty partner rewards
What is Shop & Save?+
A separate rewards programme for qualifying Car4Less participants that turns everyday shopping at our loyalty partners — Checkers, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem and Shoprite — into verified reward discounts worth up to R3 000 in monthly value, in connection with qualifying new-vehicle sales and governed by the Terms & Conditions.
Do I pay less at the till?+
No — you pay the normal retail price at the till. You then upload your official till slip to your Car4Less profile; qualifying purchases are verified against programme rules, and verified reward discounts become available through the Car4Less ecosystem.
Is Shop & Save part of the Payment Saver Plan?+
They are two separate programmes. Post & Share (the Payment Saver Plan) rewards content participation that leads to car sales; Shop & Save rewards verified shopping at loyalty partners. Each operates independently under its own rules.
How do I receive my rewards?+
Qualifying rewards are distributed through an authorised rewards card mechanism, issued and administered by approved, regulated financial services providers.

How are the cars delivered?+
Brand-new cars are delivered nationally through the franchise dealer network — fully registered, with full manufacturer warranties, and ready to drive.
Do the cars come with a warranty?+
Yes — every vehicle comes with the manufacturer's full warranty and the service or maintenance plan exactly as you'd get buying directly from a dealer.
Are these new or used cars?+
Brand-new vehicles only, sourced and delivered through the national dealer network. Not pre-owned.
How do I start?+
Browse the showroom, pick your car, and tap Enquire on WhatsApp. A Car4Less consultant guides you through confirmation, finance and delivery from there.
The franchise opportunity
Can I own a Car4Less franchise?+
Yes — Car4Less offers exclusive-rights business agencies nationally. You operate your own Car4Less business, generating income from new-car sales driven by your team's marketing activity, with training and call-centre support provided.
Are there royalties?+
No. The Car4Less model is structured as a business agency rather than a traditional franchise — there are no ongoing royalties. Your income comes from the sales your agency generates.
