Instalment calculator
Estimate your monthly instalment
Set the price, deposit, balloon, term and rate — the same levers your bank uses.
Vehicle finance is usually quoted relative to prime; adjust to match your bank's quote.
Estimated monthly instalment
R 6 158
Total paid over 72 months ≈ R 478 398
With the Payment Saver Plan
R 3 158 effective / month
Qualifying buyers whose participation leads to verified sales get R 3 000 a month back — example only, T&C's apply. See how it works ↓
Estimate only — not an offer of finance or a quotation. Your actual instalment, rate and fees depend on the bank's credit assessment and the final deal structure; initiation and monthly service fees are excluded. A Car4Less consultant confirms exact finance through the approved banks before you order.
Affordability calculator
What can I afford each month?
Start from your budget instead — and jump straight to the cars that fit it.
Indicative vehicle price range
up to R 306 902
Based on a representative 72-month term at ~12% p.a. with no deposit. A deposit or different term changes the picture — the calculator above lets you fine-tune it.
Estimate only — not an offer of finance. Affordability is always confirmed by the bank's credit and affordability assessment under the National Credit Act.
And then there's the Payment Saver Plan
R 6 500 normal instalment − R 3 000 cashback value proposition = R 3 500 effective instalment
Example only — T&C's apply. The Payment Saver Plan is separate from your bank finance: qualifying buyers receive up to R3 000 a month back through Post & Share, with Shop & Save savings at loyalty partners on top — never combined.
Calculators — questions
How is the monthly instalment calculated?+
The calculator uses the standard amortised vehicle-finance formula used by South African banks: the financed amount (price minus deposit), the annual interest rate compounded monthly, the term in months, and an optional balloon (residual) amount payable at the end of the term. Bank initiation and monthly service fees are excluded from the estimate.
What interest rate should I use?+
Vehicle finance in South Africa is usually quoted relative to the prime rate, and your personal rate depends on the bank's credit assessment. If you have a quote, use that rate; otherwise the default of around 12% p.a. is a reasonable representative figure to plan with.
What is a balloon payment?+
A balloon (residual) defers a percentage of the car's price to the end of the finance term, lowering the monthly instalment. The balloon amount remains owing at the end — typically settled, refinanced or covered by trading in. Balloons reduce the monthly payment but increase the total cost of credit.
Does the calculator include the R3 000 Payment Saver Plan?+
No — deliberately. Your bank instalment and the Payment Saver Plan are two separate things: you pay the bank its normal instalment, and qualifying Car4Less buyers receive the cashback separately. The fixed example is: R 6 500 normal instalment − R 3 000 cashback value proposition = R 3 500 effective instalment. T&C's apply.
Is this an offer of finance?+
No. These calculators are planning tools only. Finance is arranged through the banks approved by the national franchise dealer network, subject to their credit and affordability assessments under the National Credit Act. A Car4Less consultant confirms your exact figures before you order.
