What the Payment Saver Plan Is Not

Not insurance, not a bank product, not an investment, not passive income, not a replacement for vehicle finance — the definitive list.

Because the Payment Saver Plan is new, it gets compared to things it is not. It is not an insurance policy or insurance cover, not a bank product, savings account or deposit, not an investment, not a dividend or passive-income scheme, and not a replacement for your vehicle finance. Buyers pay no premium and hold no policy.

The short answers below are the definitive list of nots, useful for anyone who has heard a second-hand description and wants the plain position.

What the Payment Saver Plan Is Not — questions

The questions people ask about what the payment saver plan is not, answered plainly.

Is the PSP insurance?

+

No. The PSP is not an insurance policy. Buyers pay no premium and hold no policy; the performance guarantee framework behind the rewards is held by Car4Less with selected underwriting institutions, not by the participant.

Is the PSP an investment?

+

No. The PSP is not an investment. Participating does not buy any interest in Car4Less and does not produce a return; it creates the opportunity to earn conditional cashback and rewards.

Is the PSP a bank deposit?

+

No. The PSP is not a bank deposit, savings account or banking product of any kind. Your vehicle finance stays with your bank on the bank's normal terms.

Does the PSP pay interest?

+

No. The PSP should not be represented as an interest-bearing product. Nothing is deposited, invested or lent; qualifying participants may earn conditional cashback and rewards, not interest.

Does the PSP pay dividends?

+

No. The PSP is not a dividend-paying investment or shareholding arrangement. Participating in the plan gives you no shares in, or return from, Car4Less.

Is the PSP a passive-income scheme?

+

No. Participation requires compliance with applicable PSP activities and requirements. It should not be represented as passive income.

Does the PSP guarantee employment?

+

No. The PSP does not constitute an employment guarantee or an employment relationship. Participants are new-car buyers taking part in a rewards programme, not employees of Car4Less.

Does the PSP guarantee vehicle sales?

+

No. The PSP does not guarantee vehicle sales. It rewards qualifying participation that leads to a verified sale and delivery; it cannot promise that any particular post will produce a buyer.

Does the PSP guarantee R3 000?

+

No. The R3 000 represents the applicable maximum potential cashback and is subject to the PSP requirements.

Does the PSP replace my vehicle finance contract?

+

No. The PSP and the vehicle finance agreement are separate arrangements. You keep paying your normal instalment to the bank; any qualifying cashback is paid to you separately.

The Car4Less Payment Saver Plan (PSP) is not an insurance policy, investment, bank deposit, interest-bearing product, dividend programme or guaranteed-income programme. Any cashback, reward or other benefit referred to in connection with the PSP is subject to the eligibility, participation, content, performance, transaction, verification and other requirements in the current PSP Terms & Conditions. Examples are provided for explanatory purposes only and do not create or extend any entitlement. The maximum cashback amount must not be interpreted as an unconditional or automatic payment, and participation alone does not create an entitlement to cashback or rewards. The current Terms & Conditions remain the controlling document and prevail in the event of any inconsistency with this knowledge centre. Read the Terms & Conditions →
