Myths vs Facts

"Everyone gets R3 000", "you get paid for posting", "it's insurance" — the common PSP myths and the facts beside them.

Misdescriptions of the plan spread quickly: everyone gets R3 000, you get paid for posting, it's insurance. None are true. This topic takes each common myth and states the fact beside it, so participants and prospects start from the correct position.

Where a myth touches a contractual point, the Terms & Conditions are the reference; this page summarises them in plain language.

Myths vs Facts — questions

The questions people ask about myths vs facts, answered plainly.

“The PSP is insurance” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: the Car4Less Payment Saver Plan is not an insurance policy. Buyers pay no premium and hold no policy; the guarantee framework sits between Car4Less and its underwriting institutions.

“Everyone gets R3 000” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: R3 000 represents the applicable maximum potential cashback and is subject to the PSP requirements.

“The PSP is an investment” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: the PSP is not an investment programme. It does not pay interest, dividends or returns; it provides conditional cashback and rewards to qualifying participants.

“You get paid just for posting” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: Posting alone does not necessarily create an entitlement. Applicable content, participation, performance and transaction requirements must be satisfied.

“Every social-media post qualifies” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: only content that satisfies the applicable PSP requirements can qualify, and even qualifying content earns nothing unless it ultimately leads to a verified new-vehicle sale and delivery attributed to you.

“The Performance Guarantee is insurance” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: the Performance Guarantee should not be represented as insurance. It is the framework held by Car4Less that makes qualifying rewards available once the requirements are verifiably met; the buyer holds no policy and pays no premium.

“Loyalty rewards are automatically paid” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: loyalty rewards are subject to the applicable qualifying requirements. A till slip must be uploaded and verified, the purchase must qualify, and the Shop & Save rules must be met before any reward discount becomes available.

“The PSP guarantees an income” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: the PSP does not constitute a guaranteed-income programme. Cashback and rewards are conditional on qualifying participation and a verified sale and delivery, and nothing is promised to anyone.

“The PSP guarantees my vehicle instalment” — myth or fact?

+

Fact: The PSP does not replace or automatically alter the contractual vehicle finance instalment.

The Car4Less Payment Saver Plan (PSP) is not an insurance policy, investment, bank deposit, interest-bearing product, dividend programme or guaranteed-income programme. Any cashback, reward or other benefit referred to in connection with the PSP is subject to the eligibility, participation, content, performance, transaction, verification and other requirements in the current PSP Terms & Conditions. Examples are provided for explanatory purposes only and do not create or extend any entitlement. The maximum cashback amount must not be interpreted as an unconditional or automatic payment, and participation alone does not create an entitlement to cashback or rewards. The current Terms & Conditions remain the controlling document and prevail in the event of any inconsistency with this knowledge centre. Read the Terms & Conditions →
